Dr. Gabriel Chiu is a renowned reconstructive and plastic surgeon. His specialty is within the vast realm of aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Chiu earned his degree from the University of California Berkeley in Microbiology and Immunology. Afterwards, he completed medical school in Southern California at the Western University of Health Sciences.
Gabriel completed an internship at Bi-County Community Hospital in the Henry Ford Health System. His general surgery residency was completed in Detroit, Michigan in the St. John's Health System. He transferred to Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio during his training. It was here that Dr. Chiu was chosen as Chief Resident in General Surgery.
Once his residency was complete, Dr. Chiu started an intensive fellowship in reconstructive and plastic surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Encompassing all aspects of plastic surgery; his training included extensive burn, microvascular, wound care, craniofacial, trauma, cosmetic and pediatric reconstructive surgeries.
Dr. Chiu became Chief Fellow of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Responsibilities included: overseeing the training of general surgery residents, oromaxillary facial residents, plastic surgery fellows, medical students at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, St. Mary's Medical Center in Langhorn, PA and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. Upon successful completion of his training in reconstructive and plastic surgery, Dr. Chiu came back to California. He currently practices in Beverly Hills and Encino.
